From Round Pond- This singular wine is a rich and elegant blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Syrah. Highlighted by complex aromas of wild berry, cinnamon, cloves and pepper, the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon displays typical Rutherford structure with boysenberry syrup, blueberry and plum accents. Balanced, with lively acidity, and suedy tannins, this wine emphasizes cool fermentation, early pressing and lees stirring adding to depth on the palate. Aged for 22 months in Tronçais and Allier tight grain new French oak, this wine will cellar beautifully up to 15 years. Bottle is contained in 3 liters and is packaged in a beautiful, fire-etched Round Pond wood box.
