What We’re Drinking – Zuccardi “Tito” Red Blend

The nose is lovely, sending up aromas of blueberry pie and coffee. On the palate, the wine takes a minute, starting flat and then showing more subtle dark fruit flavors, blueberry and boysenberry, with some cherry on the mid-palate. Coffee follows from the nose, with some milk chocolate, too. This is an interesting wine, but one that might be in a dumb period. If you have it, set it aside for a year or two. It should reward you with wine that is both delicious and fun. Drink with pot roast. Recommended. 87 points. DBH
