Plummy dark fruit aromas, tobacco, and smoke arise from the glass. It is huge, even flamboyant, on the palate, with juicy black fruits, blackberry and elderberry, smoke, the darkest chocolate, and vanilla, all kept just barely in control by firm, structured tannins. Drink with marvelous wine with equally marvelous local lamb. Highly Recommended. 94 points. DBH
