If I were an apple, this is how I would want to give my life. This batch was distilled byHenri Bernard Beudin in 1997 and put up in used Chenin Blanc barrels. This particular cask was hand selected by former sommelier and famed cider maker Eric Bordelet. It was bottled at cask-strength without any additives, including water.
Aromas of apple pie, orange peel, and cinnamon come up from the glass. Layers of flavor explode in the glass, including baked apples gooey with brown sugar, orange peel, cloves and anise. Apple and high-alcohol tingle linger forever. Very Highly Recommended. 95 points. DBH
