When I opened this wine before dinner I found it way too easy to drink. There’s an appealing lively acidity that makes you keep wanting another sip, and another. Then I remembered I had opened the bottle to review the wine, so here’s a description of what’s in the bottle: cherry, plum and a hint of leather in the aroma, which morphs into more fruit, leather and smoke on the palate. It finishes strongly, but not that long, with nice light tannins and that same puckering acidity all the way through. With its light body, the wine tends toward a classic French style of pinot noir. It is a fairly young wine, and is intended to be consumed young. Preferably before dinner…
