The color is nearly opaque, tinted blue-purple around the edges. The nose shows tobacco leaf, black currant, and rich cherries. On the palate, raspberry is added to the fruits found on the nose. Coffee makes an appearance on the mid-palate, along with raspberry licorice. Tannins are round and lightly chewy. Raspberry comes out on a long, lingering finish. Mouth-feel is very smooth, acids bright. Drink with lamb. Highly Recommended (93-95). DH.
