Low-Alcohol Pinot Grigio: 2023 Cantina Zaccagnini Pinot Grigio, Terre di Chieti IGT
Notably, this pinot grigio is fairly low in alcohol, at 12.5%. That, and the price, are good reasons to keep this white wine on your radar for casual sipping.
This Italian table wine is just what you’d want when you sit down to have an aperitif or a light dinner at a restaurant in, say, Abruzzo, where it is locally produced.
The wine is a pale straw color with a jade green tint, and the aroma is outdoorsy-fresh, like a lawn with a hint of fruit trees nearby. On the palate it’s mild, with a medium body, turning slightly sweeter on the end palate. A bit of white pepper spices up the long finish.
