Black and red fruit dance around black pepper and sage on the nose. On the palate, black fruit dominates, with black pepper, leafy herbs, and seared beef fat coming through on the mid-palate. Blackberries are there from the beginning, and linger through a long finish. Tannins are fine, acids bright. This is a very good, well-rounded Syrah, which would pair beautifully with braised short ribs. Highly Recommended. 92 points. DBH
