97 Points – Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate

It exhibits abundant floral notes intermixed with notions of camphor, black cherries, black raspberries, blacker fruits, and graphite. Voluminous, expansive, and savory in the mouth, with sweet, silky, well-integrated tannin as well as superb purity and freshness, it effortlessly cascades over the palate with no hint of heaviness. This beautiful wine is further evidence that no greater Grenache is being made in the New World than that of Manfred Krankl. It should drink well for a decade or more.

94 points, Stephen Tanzer’s IWC

Vivid purple. Pungent aromas of boysenberry, blueberry, candied licorice and smoky Indian spices; smells more like syrah than grenache. Deep, sweet and focused, offering luscious dark berry compote flavors and tangy minerality. Really stains the palate but shows no excess ripeness or fat. Supple tannins gain strength with air and add shape to a long, juicy, vibrant finish. Most of this fruit came from the Eleven Confessions site.
