This Cab-Merlot blend may make you re-think Austrian red wine. The nose shows a blend of red and black fruits, elderberry and very ripe black cherries, butter, and tobacco leaf. On the palate, it leads with black fruit, moves to red on the mid-palate, all with underpinnings of butter and tobacco leaf. Mint makes a quick appearance on a rather short finish. Tannic structure is light, acids moderate. This would pair well with pot roast. Recommended. 87 points.
