Mouth-feel is a great start, satiny-smooth, luxurious. Spices are the signature, peppery with a touch of hot pepper heat. Black cherry and cola lead to blackberries, all with black and white pepper in the background. n the finish the dark fruit and pepper linger. Tannins are firm, silky up front, drying only on the finish. Acids, even at six years, are good and in balance with tannins. This is a complex spicy wine that offers a great match for rich foods. Pair with steak and chips with hollandaise, letting the acids and spice cut through the fat. Highly Recommended (92). DH
