NV Ayala Cuvée Rosé Nature

Lovely salmon color and fine mousse. Strawberries and ripe raspberries and some brioche on the nose. Crisp with great weight. Flavors of ripe red fruit (strawberries, raspberries) and warm brioche, great minerality in the finish leave the palate very clean. Pair with fresh salmon.

2010 Seven of Hearts Rosé

Clear, bright, medium-light intensity, watermelon pink. Clean, medium-low intensity aromas of strawberry, melon rind, under ripe cherry, apple skin; a little heat on the nose (14.7 abv). Dry, medium body, medium-high acidity, medium-high alcohol, medium intensity flavors: citrus, tart apple, raspberry, stone fruit; noticeable heat on the palate. Refreshing and easy drinking; pair with baked ham. Recommended.

NV Veuve Clicquot Rosé Champagne

Medium salmon-pink, fine mousse. Delightful light yeast, fruit, and toast in aroma which intensifies in the flavor. The finish is moderately long with raspberry and tart blackberry and mineral-citric edges. The fruit becomes more pronounced with food, especially with a great pairing like lobster. This season the rosé is packaged with a pink zippered cover which keeps a chilled bottle cooled to the correct temperature for drinking, for a good two hours. For more info see Becky Sue's blog.

NV Sumac Ridge Sparkling Rosé – Okanagan Valley, BC

A blend of 51% Pinot Noir, 30% Gamay Noir, and 19% Ehrenfelser—is a fresh and sassy sparkler, with lots of citrus and berry flavours and a frothy mousse that shouts fun! Each sip left my palate clean and ready for more smoked salmon, cheeses and crunchy fresh veggies with dip.
