Kathleen Rake, of Between the Vines, was not able to send a bottle for the auction, as she lives in Canada. Instead, she sent some money and asked me to find something special, and I think I did. They only made 250 cases of the Tardieu-Laurent Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2007 and it received a 93 rating from Wine Spectator. Retail value $90.00.

A perfect example of the best of Chateauneuf du Pape. An elegant wine with lots of character, well balanced and very drinkable, even though still young.
