2007 Argyle Cowhouse Pinot Noir

This wine club only selection was aged in 38% new oak for 12 to 16 months. It showed sweet rich red fruit, cherries and strawberries, just a touch of sage, and sweet caramelized pecans. On the finish, when all other flavors had faded, violets typical of Dundee Hills lingered on. Recommended.

2006 Argyle Knudsen Vineyard Brut

The nose was a little shy, showing some yeasty aromas. The palate was far more interesting, offering up red fruits, cherry and raspberry, with brioche on the finish. Drink with smoked duck and brie. Recommended.

2006 Argyle Blanc de Blancs

This sparkler opening with loads of apples of every kind. On the palate apples were also prevalent, along with buttered brioche, turning to caramel as it moved to the finish. It has 1.2% residual sugar and a fine backbone of acids. Drink it with spicy crab cakes. Recommended.
