A touch of residual sugar offers the tiniest hint of sweetness. Use that to tame a lightly curried white fish. Highly Recommended. DH
Strikes a wonderful balance between the crispness of riesling, the floral aromatics of gewürztraminer and the friendly fruitiness of pinot blanc, all combining into a clean, long, expressive finish. A wine for all sorts of occasions, from simple summer sipping to accompanying grilled pork chops or fish in a cream sauce. Highly recommended..
The color is bright pink, really very pretty, clear and bright. Aromas of dried strawberries and a bit of cherry waft up from the glass. On the palate, strawberries with a twist of lemon, a faint hint of blackberry on the mid-palate, with a mid-length finish. Acids are good, tannins very light but clearly present. This is a pleasant full-bodied rose that pairs well with anything from roast chicken to vegetarian chili. Recommended. DH
Palate Press: The online wine magazine features 3-7 wine reviews every week which are then considered for Palate Press Wine of the Week by our readers. With 2011 coming to a close, we have compiled all those wines which were selected each week, and ask our readers to now choose the 2011 Palate Press Wine of the Year. Vote in both our polls: reds and fortified wines yesterday, and whites, rosés, and sparkling today. You can make up to three choices for this category. Voting closes on Friday, December 30, 2011. We look forward to your votes, and appreciate your continues support for Palate Press.
