Good lord, this was good. If fresh and clean had an aroma and a taste--it would be this wine. Amazing wet snow, mineral, and stone aromas, with some leafing out and citrus aspects. Then the wine was crisp and citrusy, very refreshing without being at all fruit-laden. My first from this producer, but not my last.
Well worth the money, an undeniably special bottle of bubbles.
If each country/region uses and promotes its membership of GWC and its participation in the Best Of Awards to create that country’s wine tourism benchmark, then it could make the group’s existence and development in its next decade truly worthwhile.
