Surprisingly classic for a new style of wine.
I found the 2010 vintage of this wine to be my favorite at a recent luncheon with winemaker Alessio Planeta.
It's a beer to drink on a hot steamy summer day, while standing outside over hot charcoal, with shrimp and chicken over the coals.
Aromas of honeysuckle and magnolia roll up in waves from the glass. This is a lovely wine at a very moderate price. Highly Rated. 92 points.
A luxurious silky palate of dark fruits, blueberry and black cherry, with a touch of real black licorice. Highly Recommended - 93 points.
This is a big, round mouthful of wine fit for the finest filet. Highly Recommended. 91 points.
This is fresh and fruity, with some acid zing. It pairs beautifully with crispy roast pork.
