Aromas of apple and wood char flow up on the nose. Apple comes out in waves, from Honeycrisp to Granny Smith and back again, with wood smoke, char, and Meyer Lemon underneath. This is a smoking wine, loaded with smoke and fruit, drink it outside, on a breezy porch, with a good cigar. Recommended. 88 points. DBH
