94Syrah on steroids, an NFL left tackle in a bottle. Blueberries, blackberries, black pepper and bacon fat on the nose make a promise the palate more than fulfills. Blueberries and blackberries are wrapped in vanilla pastry, blackberries follow, with bacon and sage. Blueberries and spice linger on the finish. Tannins are big and chewy. Acids match. With alcohol clocking at 16.2%, everything has to be big to match, and it is. Match is with a big steak, a cowboy ribeye in great big boots. Highly Recommended. 94.
