Clean Recycled Bottles with Your Cappuccino Machine
For those who save wine bottles for re-use, perhaps using smaller bottles to keep wine fresh, getting them clean is important. The foaming wand on that cappuccino maker you used three times two years ago, is a great tool. Turn it on, pressure it up, and put the wand as far down the bottle as it will go. Be sure to hold the bottle with a towel or kitchen mitt, because it is about to get very hot very fast. Turn on the pressurized steam, move the bottle around, and listen very carefully for the tiny screams of one celled organisms meeting their boiling demise. Let the bottle cool on its own. Do not, no, let me make that DO NOT, run it under water to cool it down, or it might shatter.
