1976 Weingut St. Johannishof Dr Loosen Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Beerenauslese

The color is dark, like dark golden honey. On the nose, then on the palate, there is incredible richness. It starts with a melange of fruit, baked apples and tart fresh apples, dried apricots, all drizzled generously with honey, followed by toasted sugared nuts. It still has a brilliantly balanced acid zing running through the fruit. This is marvelously rich and balanced, with a finish that lasts forever.
