Eileen Duffy is a sommelier and wine shop owner on the East End of Long Island, also known as Long Island Wine Country. She has been covering the local wine industry in local papers and for magazines since 2003. During a brief stint in wine sales, she began studying at the International Wine Center in New York and in 2008 earned a Diploma in Wine and Spirits, a credential conferred by the London-based Wine & Spirit Education Trust.
In 2008 Eileen started the blog cellarette in order to help her prepare to apply to study to be a Master of Wine. The MW program is rigorous and extensive; there are 272 MWs in the world. Wish her luck.
